It can take considerable time and energy; they need to be open-minded, motivated, enthusiastic and enjoy learning. On enquiry managers will take time to explain about the training, commitment and how the bureau operates. If a formal application is made it goes through a formal selection process, which includes familiarisation, taking up references, assessment and interview. A recent applicant said: I wasn't sure that CAB work would be right for me, but after talking to the manager and training officer I was impressed by the professionalism of the organisation, the depth and complexity of the work and the comprehensive training, so I applied. This was what I was looking for. If you are interested in working in a challenging and personally rewarding environment, please contact the bureau (see the Volunteering page for more details). |
