How does the bureau ensure the advice and information it gives is correct?

Community Legal Service Quality Mark

West Berkshire CAB has a Legal Service Quality Mark and is a qualified member of Citizens Advice. To achieve these standards it has recognised, approved and regularly reviewed systems for ensuring high quality of advice.

Each adviser has access to a supervisor who can provide support, guidance and feedback to ensure consistent quality of advice at the time of the interview.

Each enquiry is recorded in detail, the issue, the actions and options explored and any follow up work required. Each of these records is checked at the end of the day. (Records are only kept with permission of the client.)

Independent reviews are conducted on a number of complex cases throughout the year.
